Do you have a bunch of photographs lying around your apartment? You may have printed photos from your last vacation or family gathering, and haven’t had a chance to put them in a photo album or scrapbook yet. If so, there’s an easy way to make sure your photographs are organized, easily accessible, and ready for retrieval once you are prepared to begin a scrapbooking or photo album project. Here’s a simple tutorial:
• Step 1 – Categorize every photograph. Yes, this is a daunting task, but once it’s done, the rest of the organizational project will be easy. Simply place each photograph into a category. (For example, “Our 2014 Cruise” or “1995 Family Reunion.”)
• Step 2 – Invest in small cases for each set of photos. You’ll want a plastic case that is at least 4 inches by 6 inches, so standard photos will fit into it easily. You can find cases online or at craft stores.
• Step 3 – Use a sticker to label each photo box with the appropriate category, so it is easy to locate the photos you need when you need them.
• Step 4 – Keep your photo boxes neatly lined up in a storage container and place it in a cool, dry location that doesn’t see much sunlight, such as a closet. This way, your photographs will stay in mint condition for as long as you need them to be.
