At One 51 Place, you will have options when it comes to doing laundry. We have an on-site laundry facility for all of our residents to use. Also, each of our apartments features hookups for a full-size washing machine and dryer. Laundry seems to be a never-ending cycle of washing, wearing, and washing once again, but at our apartments in Alachua, Florida, you will always have a place to get your clothes clean.

Following these steps will have you doing your laundry effectively and efficiently at One 51 Place:

• Sort your dirty clothes into separate piles of delicates, whites, and colors.

• Doing one load of dirty clothes at a time, put the pile of clothes into the washing machine and add an appropriate quantity of detergent.

• Set the washing machine to your desired settings and start the cycle.

• When the clothes are done being washed, transfer them to the dryer, and start the drying cycle.

• Make sure to separate out clothes that should not go into the dryer and hang them or lay them flat to air dry.

• If you are doing multiple loads of laundry at a time, save time by washing the next load of clothes while the first load is drying.

• When the clothes have dried, fold them or hang them and return them to your dresser, armoire, or closet. Try to get clothes out of the dryer promptly, while they’re still warm, to reduce the amount of wrinkling.
