Ice pops are a fantastic treat to enjoy on a hot summer’s day. They are ice cold and refreshing, so they will cool you off while being delicious as well. But, instead of opting for ice pops from the store that can be filled with sugar and unnatural ingredients, why not make a batch yourself? It’s an easy process and only requires a few ingredients.
To make fruity ice pops at your Alachua, Florida, apartment, you’ll need:
• 1/2 watermelon
• 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
• 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
• 1 kiwi, peeled and sliced
• 1 peach, diced
• 1/4 cup fresh cherries, pitted and chopped
• Ice pop molds
• Craft sticks
First, cut the watermelon into chunks and puree it in a blender until smooth. Then, chop up the rest of the fruit and combine. Fill each ice pop mold with the fresh fruit, and then pour in the watermelon puree. Place a craft stick into each mold, and then freeze it for six to eight hours. When the ice pops are fully frozen, simply pull one out from the mold, run it over warm water for a few seconds, and enjoy. It is a delicious, satisfying, and nutritious snack!
