Who doesn’t love a day at the zoo? The animals in zoos are just fun to watch as they go about their daily lives. Seemingly, there aren’t any zoos near our apartment community at One 51 Place, but there actually is one just a few miles down Interstate 75. Santa Fe College, right off the Interstate, actually has its own zoo, the Santa Fe Teaching Zoo, that is open daily to the public for a very reasonable price.
Among the more interesting and unusual animals you can see at the Santa Fe Teaching Zoo near our apartments in Alachua, Florida are:
- Ocelots
- Springboks
- White handed gibbons
- Emus
- Kookaburras
- Green and black poison arrow frogs
- Peninsula cooters
- Galapagos tortoises
- Florida cottonmouth snakes
- Chilean rose tarantulas
- And over 50 other species
Whatever animals you like, you’re sure to have a good time at the Santa Fe Teaching Zoo. To find out more about living at One 51 Place, please give us a call or stop by our leasing office for a community tour. We’d be delighted to show you around and point out all of our resident amenities.
